It was an ambitious plan of Govt. of Bihar to startup the B.Ed. courses in constituent colleges under the self financing scheme. In this respect the Eastern Regional Committee of NCTE grant recognition for conducting B.Ed. Course with an annual intake of 100 (One hundred) by online on (mm/dd/yy) 09/27/2010 and hard copy of application submitted on (mm/dd/yy) 10/20/2010.

R.M College (A Constituent Unit of B.N.M.U. Madhepura), one of the premier colleges of Koshi Division, is located in Saharsa. The college was established in 1976 with aiming to provide an educational platform to the people from all around who are desirous of pursuing education and gaining excel in their lives. It was the result of the sweating endeavors of its founder Pt. Amerendra Mishra, a visionary educationist and great social worker who felt the need of such institution in this locality. This college has incessantly been doing well since its foundation years and now a days it bags NAAC Accreditation as well as it is a Centre of Excellence. With a bunch of various programmes of under graduate / graduate levels, many other vocational and professional courses have been running the college and cherishing the values of Multiculturalism, Team Sprit, Scientific Temper, Eco-consciousness lifelong learning and above all the universal values like truth, beauty and goodness in a serene environment. Besides all the courses, to emerge as a Center of Excellence in teacher education, A Faculty of Education was started from the Session 2013-14 with a prior permission from the Govt. of Bihar and B.N.M.U, Madhepura
(Affiliating University) with bagging the recognition (ERC Letter No. ERC/7-150.6.11/NCTE/B.Ed./2013/16588 Dated 02.03.2013) from the apex body of teacher education in India, NCTE. Presently there is an intake 100 seats in B.Ed. with all the required facilities.

The faculty of education offers B.Ed. right now with a well furnished classroom and with a highly qualified team of teachers. No need to speak more in this regard, the result of B.Ed. programme (2013-14) itself reflects the quality of educational environment of this very department.
